One Read SD

We have some events coming up with the One Read SD.

Monday, Sept. 20 from 2:29-3:19pm (7th period @ SHS) two case workers from the Immigration & Refugee Center, Sioux Falls, will join us for a discussion on immigration and refugees. This will be held at the SHS gym. The public is invited. Join us for this interesting and informative discussion.

Monday, Sept. 27 at 7:00pm the Scotland Community Library is hosting a book discussion of the One Read SD selection, What is the What by Dave Eggers. This discussion will be led by Humanities Scholar, James Sullivan, MMC, Yankton.

These programs are made available through a grant by the SD Humanities Council and the Natl. Endowment for the Humanities.

Summer Reading Program

July is quickly approaching, and so is our Summer Reading Program @ the Scotland Library. If you signed up, don't forget to come. We will have some fun. See you there.

We have a new blog at the Library. Come and see what is available to you at the Library. We are hosting a Story Time in June on every Friday morning at 10:30am. There's no charge. And don't forget the Summer Reading Program is coming up in July, on Thursdays for incoming K-6th graders. register if you haven't already, there's no charge!!
